Trading Algorithm
A trading algorithm is a set of rules and instructions programmed into a computer system to automatically execute trades based on predefined criteria. Algorithms can process vast amounts of data — price, volume, sentiment, economic indicators — at speeds impossible for human traders, and execute orders without emotional interference. The quality of a trading algorithm depends entirely on the quality of the inputs and the robustness of the logic behind it. One-Signal's signal generation is algorithmic — our system processes sentiment data including the VIX, put/call ratio, and investor surveys daily, applies 20+ years of proprietary research, and generates one directional signal per asset class before the NYSE opens. Unlike fully automated systems, members retain full control over execution through their own brokers.
