Trend Line
A trend line is a straight line drawn on a price chart connecting a series of price points — either highs or lows — to visually identify the direction of a market trend. An upward trend line connects higher lows, indicating a bullish trend. A downward trend line connects lower highs, indicating a bearish trend. Trend lines are a core tool in technical analysis and are used to identify potential support, resistance, and breakout points. One-Signal does not use trend lines or other chart-based technical analysis in its signal methodology. Our system is based entirely on sentiment indicators — measuring investor emotion through the VIX, put/call ratio, and sentiment surveys rather than price patterns. This produces a more independent, forward-looking signal free from the self-fulfilling limitations of widely followed chart patterns. Not financial advice.
